Stone wall rebuild - Gateshead
One of the pubs who use us as their maintenance contractor logged an emergency reactive job as someone had accidentally drove into their car park stone wall. Due to the health and safety concerns this was logged as an emergency job, as many large stones had fallen onto the outside road and many stones left standing were now unstable. On our arrival to site our first priority was gather the loose stones from the surrounding area and remove any unstable standing stones from the wall. We then arranged for fencing to cordon off the area.
Following the initial clean-up we were asked to also complete the rebuild of the wall. The first part of the rebuild required us to knock out the remaining stones in the damaged area so we could start the rebuild properly from base level.
As you can see below the wall has been successfully rebuilt thanks to some great work from our engineers. Our team reacted quickly to the originally emergency call out to make the damaged wall safe and secure before quickly following up to begin the rebuild works.
